We continuously test and benchmark Open6GCore to characterize its performance and guide further optimization. The benchmarks focus on data-plane throughput and control-plane scalability. In isolated data-plane tests, a single UPF sustained 4 million packets per second (mpps), corresponding to throughput of up to 90 gbps. In a Kubernetes-based control-plane test, Open6GCore successfully registered one million subscribers. These results establish reference points for experiments involving high-throughput traffic and large subscriber populations.
The figure shows the measured completion times for one million subscriber registrations. In this test, 99 percent of the registrations completed within 23.80 milliseconds. The distribution illustrates the control plane’s ability to process a large subscriber population and provides a reference for evaluating registration performance under high-load conditions.
