Fraunhofer FOKUS works with research and industry partners to move 5G/6G concepts from research questions and prototypes toward running systems, realistic experiments and validated results.
Open6GCore provides an existing software and experimentation foundation that can be adapted to new research questions, technologies and use cases. Instead of rebuilding the mobile-network environment for every project, partners can reuse existing network functions, interfaces, integrations, deployment mechanisms and observability.
Fraunhofer FOKUS can contribute at different stages: defining the research question, implementing new functionality, integrating external technologies, building testbeds and demonstrators, and experimentally validating complete end-to-end systems.
